Where is Detailed by J located?
Our studio is at 9834 Alpaca St, South El Monte, CA 91733. We serve the San Gabriel Valley and nearby Los Angeles cities within about 20 miles — including Pasadena, Arcadia, El Monte, West Covina, Temple City, and Rosemead.Do you offer same-day or walk-in detailing?
Detailed by J schedules all services by appointment on future dates. We do not offer same-day bookings or walk-ins. Please book ahead. Our studio team works in English — if you need language support in person, bring a translator or call someone on the phone when you arrive. After your request, an owner or senior specialist will personally follow up to confirm a date and time that works best for you.How much does a detail cost?
Every vehicle is custom-quoted from condition and goals. A foundational Reset Detail starts at $350. Monthly maintenance plans start at $150/month. Ceramic coating and multi-stage paint correction are quoted after assessment — request a quote online or call (626) 399-5614.What is the difference between ceramic coating and wax?
Wax is a short-lived sacrificial layer. Ceramic coating (we install IGL Kenzo systems) chemically bonds for longer gloss, hydrophobic water behavior, and easier maintenance washes — best after proper paint correction when needed. How do I book an appointment?
Submit a quote on this page (#submit-form), request an appointment on Contact, or call (626) 399-5614. We confirm future dates only so your bay, materials, and process are ready before drop-off.Why do customers trust Detailed by J?
5.0 out of 5 based on 300 reviews. We specialize in luxury and exotic care from a controlled South El Monte studio — not tunnel brushes or rushed driveway washes.Where can I get paint correction near me?
Multi-stage paint correction is done at our South El Monte studio for Pasadena, West Covina, El Monte, and the greater San Gabriel Valley. Request a free estimate online or call (626) 399-5614 — Gloss Enhancement from $480.Do you do paint jobs or change car color?
No. We are a car detailing studio specializing in paint correction (polishing the clear coat), ceramic coatings, and interior/exterior care. We do not spray paint, respray panels, or change vehicle color — that is body-shop work. If you need PPF, ceramic, or a detail on factory paint, we can help.Do you remove car mold and smoke odor?
Yes. Smoke, pet, mildew, and wildfire cabin odors get deep cleaning plus ClO₂ remediation at our studio — not fragrance cover-ups. Ask for odor and mold removal when you request a quote.
Still unsure? We'll walk through the right service for your car.
